Crafting an immersive gallery experience inside the Guinness Storehouse
We are proud to have partnered with Guinness Storehouse and Good Shout Studio to create Guinness Galleries: a new gallery space within the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin celebrating the rich visual legacy of Guinness.
Showcasing everything from timeless archival prints, including iconic works by John Gilroy, to contemporary artist collaborations, the space is an elevated tribute to the enduring artistry of one of the world's most recognisable brands.
Breaking away from the conventions of traditional retail, Guinness Galleries is designed as a premium cultural experience, placing the visitor journey at its heart and inviting guests to step inside a living archive of creativity.
Continuing the narrative from the Gilroy Exhibition, the gallery entrance is conceived as a giant picture frame. Anchored by a striking neon interpretation of the Guinness harp by Dublin-based artist Aches, it immediately signals a shift in experience, transporting visitors from exhibition into gallery, rather than simply into a shop.
Moving deeper into the space, a premium central display table transforms the retail experience from self-service into guided discovery. Beneath its glass surface, sketchbooks, loose drawings and archival works-in-progress reveal the creative process behind some of Guinness' most iconic artwork, inviting visitors to look beyond the finished pieces and into the craft behind them.
Throughout the gallery, a carefully balanced material palette reinforces the premium experience. Raw industrial textures sit alongside warm, refined finishes, with blackened steel, timber and terrazzo creating a contemporary foundation. Brass detailing and backlit mesh introduce layers of richness and depth, while vibrant yellow accents draw out the warm gold tones, subtly reconnecting the space to the iconic Guinness brand palette.
Every detail in the space is crafted with high-end execution, for example, opting for screen-printed lettering directly onto the walls instead of standard vinyl.
Customer participation is key to the experience, highlighted by a hands-on interactive ‘Discovery Wall’ that encourages visitors to pull open panels to uncover the backstories and profiles of each featured artist.
Designed to create a truly immersive and highly shareable moment, the gallery also features three dedicated Artist Pavilions, each celebrating the work of a contemporary collaborator. The inaugural artists – Mason London, Fuchsia MacAree and Ruan van Vliet – each bringing their own distinctive visual language to the space. Clad in sleek black exteriors, the Pavilions open to reveal vibrant, bespoke installations within, creating moments of surprise, discovery and striking visual contrast that invite visitors to pause, explore and capture the experience.
The journey extends beyond the gallery itself through a suite of bespoke poster tubes and premium packaging, thoughtfully designed to elevate the purchase experience and ensure every print leaves as beautifully presented as the artwork it protects.
We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Guinness Storehouse, creating immersive brand experiences that celebrate Guinness' rich creative legacy while inspiring visitors to engage, discover and connect with the brand in new and meaningful ways.
