Victorinox Ginza Japan Store wins Gold in the ‘Department Store’ Category.
We are delighted to announce that our retail design concept for the Victorinox Ginza Store in Japan has won Gold in the SHOP! Design Awards 2026. The store has won in the ‘Department Store (New or Remodeled)’ category.
Taking cues from the unmistakable side profile of the iconic Swiss Army Knife, the shopfront is designed as a sculpted metallic form with finely detailed slatting, echoing the slatting of the tools themselves. The result is a confident retail presence - a beacon within one of the world’s most recognised shopping districts.
At the heart of the store, a dedicated personalisation table brings the atmosphere of the workshop into the retail experience. Tools, technical drawings and engineered detailing celebrate Victorinox’s enduring commitment to precision, functionality and craftsmanship.
Throughout the space, interactive displays invite visitors to uncover the story behind each knife, guiding them towards the Swiss Army Knife that best reflects their needs and habits.
