Ahead of its first permanent UK store opening, we helped introduce kikki.K to British shoppers with a 120sqm Covent Garden pop-up. Distilling the global flagship concept we created for the brand at Chadstone, Melbourne, the ‘Hej London!’ store showcases the brand’s authentic story to a new audience, in a richly engaging and unique example of ‘storytelling through stationery’ and design.

About the client

International fashion stationery label kikki.K is synonymous with the Scandinavian design principles of form and function, creating seasonal collections of stationery, gifts and organisation solutions. It has stores in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK.

A bit more detail

Layered digital and artistic installations connect the brand with its customers. A playful animated projection wall features illuminated details over paper cut-outs to reveal kikki.K’s journey, through individual stories narrated by Swedish-born founder Kristina Karlsson. Another wall installation spells the brand values ‘Dream. Do. Joy. Share.’ out of nearly 2,000 white pencils.

We partnered with acclaimed British artist Lydia Shirreff to create beautiful handcrafted paper sculptures for eight iconic kikki.K products. Displayed on gallery-style white plinths, each piece is accompanied by a bespoke soundscape and personal customer testimony. Although this is a pop-up, it doesn’t feel temporary; there’s the same thought, quality and attention to detail in fixture and finish as the Australian flagship.
