As part of our work to make Notcutts a complete lifestyle destination for families, an inspired dining offer was key.

About the client

Notcutts is one of Britain’s leading garden centre chains. With the Tunbridge Wells store winning Best Large Format Store at this year's Retail Week Interiors Awards and described as a “revolution in garden centres”, the retailer plans to roll the concept out to other UK locations.

A bit more detail

Hospitality comes to the fore with our 190-seat restaurant The Kitchen, overlooking the Planteria. Mismatched vintage furniture and raw finishes bring an eclectic, rustic feel. There’s also a farm shop where artisan and regional produce is served on market stall-style counters, and which includes a local butcher’s concession.

The street food concept is taken a step further at the Wheatcroft store as we installed reconditioned Citroën H vans, each individually named, branded and themed around a different type of cuisine. Dishes are cooked and served from scratch in the stalls and vans, enhancing the ‘independents’ feel.
