London Festival of Architecture

Yesterday, I had chance to pop down to Clerkenwell for the London Festival of Architecture. Here’s a few bits I enjoyed.

Lucinda Rogers, Heyne Tillett Steel

A collection of drawings of Tottenham. Some lovely techniques using different thickness of ink.

Mapping Time by Julian Page and Joanna Bryant, 20 Clerkenwell Green

A varied collection, but I particularly liked the line drawings in the basement.

Hypnos, Sto

Open since CDW, Sto have created a space to wind down and chill out for 10 minutes in a hammock, making you feel refreshed and re-energised. Perfect if you’re feeling little sleepy.

The Barbican Exhibition; Building a landmark, The Barbican

An interesting insight into the construction of the Barbican estate. Original plans, models, materials and in-progress photographs.

From Pavement to Platform, Studio Egret West

A look into the future of the tube at Studio Egret West’s working studio. They’ve presented not a massive move on for the tube, but the history and some of the justification was interesting. Plus visitors get chance to see Studio Egret West’s studio and their great model area.
