We’ve been working once more with Molton Brown to ensure their Fragrance Finder tool is accessible across all devices in their stores, concessions and distributors.
Back in October, we launched our new store concept for Molton Brown, featuring a bespoke marble-effect table to display their full range of Eaux de Parfum and Eaux de Toilettes. Projected onto the Fragrance Bar is the Fragrance Finder - an interactive digital tool that matches a signature scent to an individual’s personality. Building on an algorithm developed by The Future Laboratory, we integrated the tool into Molton Brown’s website and projected it on to the Bar for users to tap and discover their matching fragrance.
As the new concept is being rolled out globally across Molton Brown stores and concessions, we wanted to ensure there was a way to give all distributors the same access to the online tool - particularly in locations where network connectivity may be an issue, such as airport concessions. We’ve made new updates that now allow the Fragrance Finder application to be accessed on any device, including iOS and Android, rather than only via the Molton Brown website.
Based on the existing web experience, the new app allows for greater content control, which can all be managed via a bespoke CMS built by D&P. This new platform allows for the Fragrance Finder questions to be easily updated, new products to be added and relevant locale to be changed. Store and concession assistants can synchronise content on their device in real time, allowing the app to run effectively offline if needed to mitigate any connectivity issues. The broader network also allows for the collection of data, such as customer insights.
The Fragrance Finder application is now being rolled out to all Molton Brown stores and distributors to help curious shoppers discover their perfect fragrance.
