    Image Resource Manager

I'm the Image Resource Manager, which is half photographer and half image librarian. Photographing our work is a huge responsibility as it's vital to capture the store in its glory and I still get a thrill when I see one of my pictures in a magazine, or even better on a front cover. When I’m not travelling the world (or at Stratford) taking pictures, I’m cataloguing them in our image library. We have 160,000 images to which I've added over 8 million keywords... so have some pity for me.

I started at D&P over four years ago, temping on reception three days a week, and I never left! I’m now PA to the Creative and Managing Directors. I enjoy being part of the D&P family, there is a great mix of interesting people who work here and the working environment is a good balance of hard work and fun.

I have been at D&P for 9 months now and can honestly say that from day one I felt part of the family! The fact that we have a such a wide variety of personalities and people from all different backgrounds makes it such a nice place to work. I love hearing all about the projects the guys are working on because you can tell they have a real passion for what they're doing. Seeing them come to life gives me a huge buzz and makes me proud to be a part of the company.

    Group Director, Marketing

What could be more exciting than marketing a creative business and being able to talk about so many great projects? No day is the same. I can be meeting new clients to discuss a brief, talking to journalists about our work, attending events, visiting our international offices or working on a new marketing campaign and materials… The 'to do' list never reduces, but is always interesting and challenging, and what I really enjoy is introducing new clients to D&P – seeing our relationship develop to fulfil their ambitions.

    Brand Coordinator

Working on our in-house materials helps keep me updated on what’s going on in all the different teams. There's so much going on here and as the company grows, we have more and more to say. As well as traditional print formats there's all the new media to consider - digital, online... And creating everything in a Chinese version for our Shanghai team is keeping us very busy!

I joined D&P nearly 10 years ago and there were 35 of us then. Now we're over 100, in London, Shanghai and Mumbai... it's been a blur! The contrast in the retail market in Europe, The Far East, India and Stateside is ever changing; the geography of project mix in the studio is so varied. For me, meeting new clients with new challenges is great. To be able to answer a brief and see the client's positive reaction when a concept becomes real is even better.

    Graphic Designer

I joined D&P just over a year ago now, and have been working on a wide range of projects big and small, value and premium. Having come from digital and interaction studios, my design interests primarily lie in the middle ground between science, technology and the environment. I'm fascinated with how we interact with technology and how it can be merged with everyday things.

    Regional Director, India

I've been a designer for 28 years, and lived the expat life for the last six. Having previously lived in the Middle East and Singapore, now I'm in Mumbai – a fascinating and exciting city. India is an emerging retail market and the next five years are going to be extremely interesting. As a retail designer, I couldn't think of any better place to be right now; I'm ready for the challenges that this country will bring.

I get most of my inspiration from experiences with different cultures and places; for me creative stimulation doesn’t emerge in enclosed environments. Working
at D&P has offered me the opportunity to work with various clients worldwide, which allows me to continually push my boundaries.

My four years at D&P have flown by (along with my twenties!) I still never fail to get a kick out of seeing something I’ve been working on fully realised and ‘big’ in the flesh for the first time. Be it a large wall graphic, an embroidered emblem on someone’s clothing or a logo on a shopping bag I see on the tube, you can’t beat seeing it for real. So if you ever see me smiling at you on the Northern Line, I’m not strange, I’ve probably just clocked your carrier bag.

I get a massive buzz from making spaces that didn’t exist before into a reality, and I’m looking forward to seeing my current project come to life in foreign lands. But the best bit (sometimes tricky abroad) is doing that ‘creepy designer thing’ – following people around and listening to what they think about your space.

Ni Hao! I’ve been with D&P for six years and I’ve been travelling to China for the last 4. In 2010 I joined the team in the Shanghai office. China feels like the centre of the world right now and I enjoy the excitement and rapid pace of things here. New challenges are around every corner, it’s exciting to work with brands and retailers who have huge aspirations and be able to deliver creative concepts that really change the profile of their business. And besides, I love dumplings so where better to be!

It's wonderful to be back at D+P, having spent a year here for my student placement. I've got straight into working on some very exciting live projects and I'm looking forward to seeing some of my recent ideas and designs come to life.

I’ve been at D&P for over two years now and the time has really flown by. I’ve seen so many changes within the company. My role as Finance Manager has also evolved, bringing different challenges to overcome. What’s great about D&P is that we all work and play as a team. I’m sure we can keep growing to reach new heights.

People

We are the sum of our people. We have 76 designers, structured into eleven design teams, each with a mixture of skills and experience. Key to our structure is the fact that we have no account managers; as a client you will be dealing directly with the design team. All those working on a project will be fully aware of the work and able to talk directly to the client.

We are proud of our staff’s creativity, knowledge and experience and the strength of our relationships with our clients. We genuinely believe these to be key attributes at Dalziel and Pow and we look forward to you deciding for yourselves.
